Overview

The Mechatronics Technician supports Apicoo’s engineering team in assembling, testing, operating, and maintaining robotic products and automation systems.

 

This role works hands-on with smart grippers (SusGrip), robotic arms, and electromechanical systems throughout development, testing, and deployment.

 

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical & Electrical Assembly

  • Assemble mechanical components and perform electrical wiring based on technical drawings

  • Support system alignment, tuning, and functional verification

Testing & Maintenance

  • Conduct functional tests and record technical data

  • Perform maintenance and repair of components, sensors, motors, control boards, and electromechanical systems

Engineering Support

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace

  • Collaborate with engineers on testing, design improvements, demos, and product deployment

  • Report technical progress and issues to the team lead

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • College degree or higher in Mechatronics, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields

  • Preferred: at least 1 year of experience with industrial robots, mechatronic systems, or automation equipment

Technical Knowledge

  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems, transmissions, and basic electronics

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PLCs, sensors, servo/stepper motors, pneumatic or hydraulic systems

  • Hands-on experience with industrial robots (UR, JAKA, FANUC, etc.)

  • Skills in wiring, soldering, board-level assembly, and sensor integration

  • Basic knowledge of Arduino, PLC programming, or robot programming

Soft Skills & Personal Traits

  • Experience with PLCs, sensors, servo/stepper motors, pneumatic or hydraulic systems

  • Hands-on experience with industrial robots (UR, JAKA, FANUC, etc.)

  • Skills in wiring, soldering, board-level assembly, and sensor integration

  • Basic knowledge of Arduino, PLC programming, or robot programming
