Overview
We are looking for an engineer to design, develop, and deploy vision based robotic systems for real industrial applications. This role focuses on camera and sensor calibration, robot control, and applying modern computer vision and AI to enable reliable perception for tasks such as machine tending and pick and place.
You will work hands on with robots, cameras, sensors, and production oriented systems, collaborating closely with mechanical, control, and firmware teams to turn vision algorithms into stable, deployable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Robot Vision and Calibration
-
Implement and maintain hand eye calibration methods such as eye in hand and eye to hand
-
Align robot, camera, and world coordinate systems with high accuracy
-
Develop calibration validation and re calibration workflows to compensate for mechanical drift and sensor variation
Robot Control and Integration
-
Work with forward and inverse kinematics of multi axis robotic systems
-
Integrate vision outputs into robot motion planning and task execution
-
Support deployment on common cobot platforms across Windows and Linux environments
Computer Vision and AI
-
Develop object detection and 6D pose estimation pipelines using modern deep learning models
-
Implement semantic and instance segmentation for cluttered or complex environments
-
Process and analyze point cloud data using classical and learning based approaches
System Deployment and Validation
-
Test and debug vision guided robotic systems in real industrial setups
-
Optimize performance, robustness, and repeatability
-
Document system behavior, limitations, and best practices
Required Skills and Background
-
Strong programming skills in Python and or C++
-
Solid understanding of computer vision and robotics fundamentals
-
Hands on experience with OpenCV, Open3D, PCL, or similar libraries
-
Practical experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
-
Good foundation in linear algebra, 3D geometry, and coordinate transformations
-
Comfortable working directly with hardware, sensors, and real robots
Preferred Experience
-
RGB D cameras, stereo vision, or 3D sensing technologies
-
Simulation tools such as Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or MuJoCo
-
Deploying vision systems on edge hardware or production environments
-
Vision guided manipulation or industrial automation projects
Working Style
-
Hands on, detail oriented, and engineering driven
-
Comfortable working in fast moving environments with evolving requirements
-
Able to take ownership and turn ideas into working systems
